Workout of the day

Today’s WOD is all about using your own body to build strength and endurance. You’ll rotate through three movements, pushing yourself to complete as many rounds as you can in 12 minutes.

The workout of the day consists of:

Complete as many rounds as possible in 12 minutes of:

  • 20 Air Squats
  • 20 Hand-Release Push-Ups -20 Russian Twists (10 each side)

Scaling

  • For Air Squats: Use a chair or box to squat to if you have difficulty with depth.
  • For Hand-Release Push-Ups: Drop to knees or do them elevated on a box or bench.
  • For Russian Twists: Keep your feet on the ground or perform seated without twisting if balance is an issue.

No equipment

  • Use a backpack with books for added weight on Air Squats.
  • For Push-Ups: use a countertop or wall if no elevated bench available.
  • For Russian Twists: Hold a filled water bottle for added resistance.

Warmup

3 Rounds (Not for Time):

  • 10 Bodyweight Squats
  • 10 Arm Circles Forward/Backward
  • 10 Hip Circles Each Direction
  • 5 Inch Worms
  • 10 Scapular Push-Ups

Cooldown

3 Rounds:

  • 30 Seconds Standing Quad Stretch (Each Side)
  • 30 Seconds Seated Forward Fold with Shoulder Stretch
  • 30 Seconds Child’s Pose
  • 30 Seconds Thread the Needle (Each Side)
