Workout of the day
Today we’re focusing on building strength and improving mobility with a snatch balance and overhead squat combo. This will help you get more confident and stable under the bar.
The workout of the day consists of:
5 sets of the following: A. Snatch Balance - 5 reps B. Overhead Squat - 5 reps
- Perform A immediately followed by B.
- Rest 2 minutes between sets.
Scaling
Scale weight as necessary. Aim for technique over weight. Use a PVC pipe or empty bar if form needs work.
No equipment
If no barbell: Use two water bottles, soup cans, or similar items for the overhead positions. Perform single-arm Dumbbell Overhead Squats instead.
Warmup
- 3 sets of 10 PVC Pass Throughs
- 10 Arm Circles each direction
- 3 sets of 5 Overhead Squats with PVC
- 10 Air Squats
- 200m Run or 1 min Jump Rope
Cooldown
- 5 mins Easy Jog or Walk
- 2 mins Child’s Pose
- 1 min Shoulder Stretch each side
- 2 mins Forward Fold
