Workout of the day

Are you ready to turn up the heat this Sunday? Get ready for ‘Sunday Sweatstorm,’ a workout designed to challenge your stamina, strength, and core. Let’s kick off this high-energy session that will leave you feeling accomplished and energized!

The workout of the day consists of:

5 rounds for time of:

  • 400 meters Run
  • 25 Hand Release Push-Ups
  • 20 V-Ups
  • 2 minutes Rest

Scaling

  1. For beginners or those needing to scale down:
  • 200m Run or 1-minute high knees
  • 15 Knee Push-Ups or Incline Push-Ups
  • 15 Sit-Ups or Crunches
  1. For Intermediate athletes:
  • 300m Run or 1.5-minute high knees
  • 20 Hand Release Push-Ups
  • 20 Regular Sit-Ups

No equipment

  1. If no access to 400m track:
  • Run in place with high knees for equivalent time (1.5-2 minutes)
  • Jump Rope for 2 minutes
  1. For Hand Release Push-Ups:
  • Perform them against a wall or elevated surface
  1. For V-Ups:
  • Substitute with regular Sit-Ups or laying leg raises

Warmup

  1. 400m easy jog
  2. 10 Arm Circles forward/backward
  3. 10 Leg Swings per leg
  4. 10 Scapular Push-Ups
  5. 10 Sit-Up stretches

Cooldown

  1. 400m walk
  2. 10 Tricep stretches (each arm)
  3. 10 Standing Forward Bend stretches
  4. 10 Child’s Pose stretches
  5. 10 Cobra Stretches
